Every poker fan dreams of playing in a multi-million dollar high stakes game in Las Vegas - but for one Mackay man, the dream has just become reality. Scott Fraser, with just six months' experience in playing "serious" poker, last week beat 509 other hopefuls in a tournament in Brisbane to win a seat at the World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas in June next year. The entry, which is worth $US10,000 and also includes flights to the US and accommodation, puts him in the running for a share of the $US14 million prize pool.
Not bad for a man who is used to playing free pub poker tournaments!
